A Year Ago Today

At this time one year ago i was running around Augusta like a crazy woman trying to take care of last minute details. i was on my way to my hair appointment then to walmart to pick up a few last minute things. Then home to get dressed for my big day. One year ago today i married the man of my dreams. i put on my beautiful gown and walked toward my sailor and vowed to love him for the rest of my life. Not hard to do considering i loved him for so long even when things were less than favorable between us. I looked into his eyes and swore to love, honor and cherish him until death do us part. I haven't regreted it at all. now we have a beautiful baby girl with plans for another within the next two years. i have never been so happy in my life. a year ago today i did the best thing i have ever done. i married a wonderful man that i love more than life and i am living my dream.

Therapy

Today i started my therapy. They were going to do the Ionto and they started with my right wrist but the machine was having issues so they started my left wrist but that machine was causing me a lot of pain. so she decided to stop it and try again next time. so they did the heat and cold packs and massaged with coco butter. it was nice but my skinis all red and splotchy. Steve came home early yesterday and has today and tomorrow off. it's very nice to spend time with him. he's always at work so it's nice to have him home. Lilli gets cuter and sweeter by the day. i take pictures in all her little outfits because she's just so cute i can't stand it!!!

Wild Fires

Just a quick note to let everyone know we're safe from the fires. They aren't in Point Loma which is where we are and probably the safest place to be. So don't worry we're all gooD!

Halloween Genius

so i made Lilli's Halloween costume last night and put it on her to see how it looked. SO cute!!!!! i've never done anything like that before and it turned out really really well. She is just so adorable!!! We're going to a halloween party next weekend and then we'll sit on the front stoop on halloween and hand out the candy i bought. that was everyone can hail Her Cuteness properly. Hehe. Steve didn't get to re-enlist saturday like he was supposed to. something to do with Tenure and a waiver. Stupid. So hopefully he re-enlists this week. He has duty on our anniversary which sucks. especially because i don't think they'll be at sea as originally scheduled. oh well. i'm just blessed to have been married to my soulmate and the love of my life for a year.

Home We Go

So we'll definitely be coming home for thanksgiving. I hope that a lot of you are going to be at sharon's so that we can see each other. I doubt that the north carolina trip will happen. I'm so excited. i just can't wait to go home and show my beautiful daughter off to everyone. We'll be home for a week. We have so many places to go. We'll be in Calhoun, GA for a day then to Warner Robins, GA for a few days then to Augusta for a few days then back to Warner Robins for a day. It's going to be a crazy week. I can't wait!!!

Halleluia!!!

Steve is HOME!!!! I'm so happy and relieved. All my doomsday feelings are gone and i'm happy. he had duty so he didn't actually get home until this morning. I made him change lilli's dirty diaper. He has diaper duty this weekend whether he likes it or not!!! I know everyone is at the reunion so have a great time and eat lots of food for me!!!! Charlie and Liz get here today. they'll be here for a week which is a bit shorter time than the other grandparents were here. i just want time with my little family though. before i know it steve will be on West Pac and Lilli and i will be back in Georgia. His leave was approved so if we can get plane tickets home then we will go home for thanksgiving. If that happens then we'll probably end up in North Carolina for a day. We'll probably meet my sister first, then anyone who wants to hang out after that. I'm excited. i hope we'll be able to fly home!

Orthopedics

I'm SO excited!! steve will be home in a few days. i can't explain how ready i am for him to be here! i had my orthopedics appointment this morning. i'm not getting the shots; at least not yet. first i'm going to try physical therapy. i have to go 3 days a week for 3 weeks. they'll massage cortizone into my wrists and stretch my thumbs. gonna hurt a bit but not as much as the shots would. i just want the pain gone. i don't want to hurt worse before it gets better. slow is good as long as it goes away. so that won't start until october 24th. I just wish i had someone to watch Lilli each time so i don't have to take her with me. also anyone who is still interested in a throw, there are pictures posted. i need the money in the next 2 weeks so i can get the orders in. they are really really nice. i'm getting one!!!

Good Times

so i got another email from steve this morning. i'm so relieved. i've had a terrible feeling about this underway and when i didn't hear from him for a week i freaked out a bit. apparently my poor baby got a bit seasick this time out. seas were rough and they were surfaced. imagine that. a sailor who gets sea sick. he'll be home soon. i'm so excited. i hate that he has duty the day they come in but i can guarantee that Lilli and i will spend a lot of the day up there. I went to applebee's with a friend yesterday. it was great as always. we had a good time. she came over afterwards with some laundry and movies. she was here when a first happened to me. Lilli vomitted all over ys both. her pjs were soaked as was steve's shirt that i was wearing. but she never cried about it. she actually was smiling. guess she felt better. i didn't know such a little person could have that much in her tummy. poor baby. i don't know if it was the cereal i tried or what. i've been putting a bit in her bottle at night but last night i tried it a bit thicker with a spoon. it didn't agree with her it would seem. she's screaming right now but she needs her nap. i hate that i can't pick her up all the time but we both have to learn. i don't know if i mentioned this already, but i'm doing so well selling these throws, that they asked me to head the fundraising committee. i'm excited and i hope i do well with it!!

Busy Morning

So i had my hearing test today and i am not going deaf! YAY! Steve is always getting annoyed because i can't understand what he says and he swears i'm deaf. but i'm not! he just needs to speak up and ennunciate!! The punk! So i'm doing so well with the Throw sale that they asked me to head the fundraising commitee. it's exciting!! i already have one good idea. A chili sale! We can sit on the pier at lunchtime and sell chili, crackers and cookies. You can't tell me that if there's food on a pier with at least 2 boats full of men that we won't do well. i'd be surprised if they didn't!! If anyone has any fundraising ideas, i'd love the help. i'm not good at coming up with them, just carrying them out! I left Lilli with a babysitter this morning. i didn't want to but i really couldn't take her with me. can you imagine her screaming in the sound booth while trying to listen to little beeps. She's fianlly taking her nap. she was up for the sitter all morning and kinda fussy. i love my little girl!! so anyway, again pics of the throw are posted. if anyone is interested in buying one then email me your mailing address and i'll email you with mine and who to make the check out to. Again they're $30 each + $12 shipping. i hope everyone wants one. they're really nice. i heard from steve today finally!!! i was so happy! his email was short and sweet as always. he said we may be able to go home for thanksgiving which will be nice! he's thinking about taking some leave. i'm so excited!!

Fussy Baby

so i still haven't heard from steve. i was getting really worried but then i heard from another boat wife and her guy called her the day before yesterday, so at least i know they're ok. Lillian has been so fussy this morning. i gave her some gas drops and motrin so hopefully that helps. She doesn't normally fuss like this in the morning. usually it's reserved for the evening. i can't handle this all day so i hope she calms down soon. she's a little warm too. She slept for a really long time last night. i put her down around 10:30 and she didn't wake up to eat until 5:30 then went back to sleep at 6 then up again at 9:30. maybe it's the motin making her sleep that long. it is nice though. Gosh she is so mad right now. The FRG president is coming over and bringing the throw so i can take pictures of it and post them for ya'll to see. I should have that done later today.

My Poor Girl

So Lilli and i were in the ER last night for 5 hours! It was nothing really, she was just reacting to her shots and seems to have a bit of a cold. i wonder if we both have one. They gave us some motrin and when we got home i fed her and gave her a dose and she passed out and stayed asleep all night long. She's back to her normal happy baby self now. taking a nap. she looks so cute when she sleeps in her swing. her ears stick out from the head gaurd thing. she's just precious. I haven't heard from steve since saturday. i always get a bit worried when i don't hear from him for a while. i know i shouldn't but i can't help it. hopefully we hear from him today.

My Poor Angel

Lilli had her first shots today. i don't know which one of us cried more, but i bet it was me. it just broke my heart to see her cry like that. i think the nurses felt worse about the fact that i cried than about Lilli crying. she's been fussy and tired all day. i think i'm going to give her her bath and bottle early and get her to bed as soon as possible. my poor baby girl!!
