Throws

The USS Helena's Family Readiness Group is doing a fundraiser selling USS Helena throw blankets. They're really nice with the USS Helena seal. For those of you that don't know The Helena is the submarine that Steven is on. The FRG is basically a support group made up of the boat wives. We do fundraisers for various events such as halfway night. Halfway night is the half way through a 6 month underway and both the guys on the boat have a party and the wives also celebrate. Anyway anyone interested in buying one of these throws, please let me know. they cost $30+$12 for shipping and handling. they're really nice and i'd appreciate anyone who is interested!!! To a Festival

Lilli and i are going to some kind of festival today with a friend. It's over on north island which i love. it's just so pretty over there. The only thing is that i have to drive over the coronado bridge and i HATE bridges!!! they scare me to death. i'm sure it'll be fine but still. Lilli is supposed to be taking her nap right now but she's fighting it. This child just doesn't like to sleep. i guess she's afraid she'll miss something! There are only a few more weeks until steve comes home! YAY! It looks like he'll be gone on our anniversary. I'm disappointed but what can you do? we'll just celebrate early or something. HIs dad and stepmom will be here right about the time the boat comes in. they'll also be here when he re-enlists. That is scheduled for October 20th. I'm glad he decided not to do it on the boat. i really want Lilli and i to be there for it. My wrists are killing me. i hate this tendonitis!! i hate that it hurts to pick my baby girl up. i'm ready to get those cortizone shots and feel better!!

Very long Day

So today was quite the day. Lilli was so off her schedule. She barely napped all day. she was so tired but all she seemed to want was her mommy. Everytime i put her down she woke up and cried. she finally went to sleep around 4:30 and i let her sleep until 6:30. she ate better today though. she hasn't been eating enough but today she did better. I hate when Steve is at sea. i always miss him so much. I know Lilli misses him. everytime she hears a male voice she perks up. my little girl is so sweet!

First Blog

So this is my first blog. i liked the idea of a family blog so i thought i'd add to it. there are three of us in this branch of The Vickers Family. Steven, Kimberly and Lillian. Steve and I got married Oct. 28, 2006. it's coming up on our one year anniversary and we're happier than ever. Lillian Mackenzie was born July 29, 2007. she is our perfect angel and let me tell you, she has her Daddy completely wrapped around her little finger. for all that he tries to be mean and cold and tough, he's really just a big teddy bear around her. And me too. I think i've decided, at least until we have our second kid, i'm going to be a stay at home mom. i miss working, but Lilli is more important and i want to raise her right and be there for her every need. I love my family more than anything and we are very happy!!!
